Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel

Chinese Visa processing and city sightseeing tour

Today, you will visit the Chinese Embassy with one of our team members to apply for a Chinese Visa for the Tibet tour. Our team will help you with the documents. After that, you will go on a guided tour of historical sites in Kathmandu.

You will visit monuments such as Patan Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Bouddha Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple. These places will show you the beautiful amalgamation of Hinduism and Buddhism.

Walk through bustling markets and artistic courtyards, and experience the serene divine energy of Nepalese heritage. After the tour, the guide will drop you off at the hotel. Rest and end the evening strolling on the vibrant streets of Thamel and window shopping.

Day 3

Guided sightseeing of Chanunarayan Temple and Bhaktapur Durbar Square and drive to Nagarkot for a night stay

Today, you will drive to Ngarkot from Kathmandu. Nagarkot is a popular hill station near Kathmandu. Begin the day with a delicious breakfast and pack your bags to leave the hotel.

On the way to Nagarkot, you will visit the ancient Changunarayan Temple and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Both these monuments are some of the most important historical sites in Kathmandu.

The incredible architecture, intricate woodcarvings, centuries-old statues and arts, and stories behind every corner will make a visit to these places memorable. You can also taste local Nepali delicacies and buy handicrafts.

Bhaktpur is a great place to try Newari cuisine and buy handicrafts. After the tour, your guide will bring you to the luxury resort in Nagarkot that we have pre-booked for you.

The evening will be relaxing. You can get a spa or massage to unwind. An additional charge applies accordingly for services like spa and massage.

Alternative option:

Alternatively, you can take an Everest Base Camp helicopter tour in the early morning. The heli tour will end by 12:00 PM. After that, you can drive to Nagarkot via Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

If you want to see Mt. Everest closely, then the EBC helicopter tour is an incredible option. You also get to land at Lukla and Hotel Everest View for breakfast. If the regulations allow, you may also experience Kala Patthar landing for five minutes.

Day 4

Watch a beautiful sunrise from Nagarkot, then drive to Pokhara

Today, you will catch a gorgeous sunrise from Nagarkot. If the weather is clear, you will see the majestic Himalayan range, too. After that, have a delicious breakfast and get ready to travel to Pokhara.

The road to Pokhara is smooth, so you will have a comfortable ride. We provide a luxury, four-wheeler with a skilled driver that will make the drive easy on your body.

Full-day wildlife safari tour in Chitwan

Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa

You can reach Lhasa in just 1.2 hours of flying from Kathmandu, and the flight will be incredibly scenic. The scenery transitions from lush valleys of Nepal to the vast plateau of Tibet, offering stunning Himalayan mountain views along the route.

Lhasa sightseeing: Potala Palace, Norbulingka Palace, and Tibet Traditional Hospital

Lhasa is a big city and has a lot of places to explore. We do not want the tour to be rushed here, so we have divided the sightseeing into two days. Today, we will take you to the famous Potala Palace, Norbulingka Palace, and the Tibet Traditional Hospital.

Start the day with a delicious breakfast and get ready to leave the hotel. Your guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the Potala Palace. It is one of the finest examples of Tibetan architecture.

The Potala Palace used to be the winter residence of the Dalai Lama. The palace is situated in Marpo Ri at 3,700 meters. It has 1,000 rooms, 10,000 shrines, and around 200,000 statues.

Then you will visit Norbulingka Palace, which used to be the summer residence of the Dalai Lama. Explore its tranquil gardens, beautiful courtyards, and pavilions.

At last, we will take you to the Tibet Traditional Hospital, where you can learn about ancient holistic healing and herbal medicine. After the tour, return to your hotel to spend the night.

Lhasa Sightseeing: Sera Monastery, Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Bazaar

Today, you will visit some other tourist sites in Lhasa. Have a big breakfast and leave your hotel wearing comfortable clothes and shoes for a full day of exploration.

We will take you to Sera Monastery, which is one of the most prominent Gelug Monasteries in Tibet. Located north of Lhasa, the Sera Monastery was founded in 1419. Sera Monastery is famous for its lively debates between monks.

Then you will visit the Drepung Monastery, which is another Gelug monastery. It is a huge monastery that is home to more than 10,000 monks. Here, you will have the opportunity to learn a great deal about Tibetan philosophy, medicine, and astronomy.

Jokhang Temple is another site that you will visit during the Lhasa tour. It was built in the 7th century. For many Tibetans, a pilgrimage to Jokhang is a lifetime goal. Around this temple is the famous Barkhor Bazaar.

The bazaar is also a sacred pilgrimage circuit where the devotees perform a kora. You can see many Tibetan handicrafts, textiles, jewelry, etc, in the market.

Drive from Lhasa to Gyantse via Karo La Pass and Yamdrok Tso Lake

The Lhasa to Gyantse route is very scenic. You will cross the Karo La Pass on the way and witness the beautiful Yamdrok Tso Lake. Upon reaching Gyantse, we will drop you off at the hotel. Freshen up and rest for a bit, and later, visit the local tourist sites with your guide.

Gyantse Kumbum, the Stairway to Enlightenment, is a towering nine-level stupa that contains 108 chapels filled with exquisite mandalas, murals, and statues of several deities.

Another must-visit tourist attraction in Gyantse is Pelkor Chode Monastery, which houses three different Buddhist traditions (Gelug, Sakya, and Kagyu) within a single complex.

Gyantse Dzong is an impressive hilltop fortress, which is considered the guardian of the valley. In the 14th century, this place protected Gyantse from the British invasion. Very rich in history, Gyantse Dzong will take you back in time.

End the day, exploring the Phalkor Bazaar, which is literally the soul of the local life in this town. Here, you will see the everyday Tibetan lifestyle and culture. It is a bustling trading hub where you can discover intricate hand-woven clothes, rugs, turquoise jewellery, prayer items, yak products, etc.

Drive from Gyantse to Shigatse via Shalu Monastery

Drive from Shigatse to Rongbuk via Sakya Monastery

Drive from Zhangmu to Kathmandu
