Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel

Our team will welcome you at the international airport in Kathmandu. They will transfer you to the hotel and help you with your luggage. One of our luxury four-wheelers and a professional driver will be available at your service.

Upon checking in at the hotel, you can rest and unpack. We’ll meet in the late evening for the trip briefing. You will meet with your guide and later explore the bustling streets of Thamel.

Day 2

Helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Namche Bazaar and spend a night at Yeti Mountain Home

Start the day with a delicious breakfast spread and get ready to leave your hotel. Your guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to the domestic airport.

Go through the security check and receive your boarding pass. Then there will be a quick flight briefing, and you will board the helicopter.

In no time, you will be flying over the Kathmandu Valley. The aerial view of the city will be mesmerizing. Move your head up, and there will be the Himalayan range on the horizon, standing majestically.

Fly over lush hills and valleys and reach Lukla in around 45 minutes. We may land in Lukla to refuel the chopper. Then it will be a short 10-minute flight to Namche Bazaar.

You will land in Namche Bazaar and check into Yeti Mountain Home. It is one of the finest luxury properties in the Everest region. Mount Kongde Ri rises above the lodge, offering clear, unobstructed views to the guests.

Day 3

Hike to Hotel Everest View and spend a night at Sherpa Panorama Lodge or Hotel Everest View

Today, you will hike from Namche Bazaar to Hotel Everest View. It will be around 2.7 km uphill walking. In around 20 minutes of hiking, you will come across a massive mani stone and mani wheels.

From here, follow the left trail and climb on a steep trail for 30 minutes to reach Syangboche Airstrip. Further, you will ascend for another 30 minutes to reach the Sherpa Resort.

Finally, from the resort, you will follow relatively flat terrain to the Hotel Everest View. Throughout the hike, you will witness stunning views of Mt. Thamserku and Kongde Ri.

Our first choice for overnight is Hotel Everest View. If we do not get a room in this hotel, we will book the next best high-end accommodation, which is the Sherpa Panorama Lodge.

Day 4

Hike around Khumjung Valley, visit Hillary School (meet students and exchange culture & study), and back to the hotel to spend the night

Begin the day with a breathtaking mountain vista and a scrumptious breakfast. After that, get ready to visit the Khumjung village, where you will explore an ancient monastery and visit the Hillary School.

Khumjung village is situated below Mt. Khumila. Here, you will explore the daily lives of mountain people, including Sherpas. Explore yak pastures and traditional stone walls.

Then visit the Khumjung monastery, the oldest monastery in the Everest region. We will also take you to Hillary School, where you can meet kids from surrounding villages and spend some quality time.

After exploring the village, get back to Hotel Everest View or Sherpa Panorama Lodge, wherever you are spending the night. End the day with a delicious dinner.

Day 5

Fly to Everest Base Camp in a helicopter (Kala Patthar landing optional) and return to Kathmandu

Today, you will take a morning flight to Everest Base Camp and return to Kathmandu. Wake up early and have breakfast. Then pack your bags and get ready for checkout.

You will descend to Syangboche Airstrip and take a helicopter flight from there. In just a few minutes of flying, you will reach Kala Patthar and Everest Base Camp.

While flying, you can see the trails that trekkers use to hike to EBC. Likewise, enjoy aerial views of famous villages such as Tengboche, Dingboche, and Lobuche.

The mountain vistas are also incredible. You will see Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Makalu, Island Peak, Baruntse Peak, Pumori, and many others.

Similarly, the view of the Khumbu Glacier and Khumbu Icefall is also sensational. We do land at Everest Base Camp, but only hover above it.

The Kala Patthar landing depends on whether you want to do it or not. If you want to land at Kala Patthar, let us know ahead of time. We have to make arrangements as per that.

For Kala Patthar landing, we need to divide the group to maintain a 250 kg weight limit per helicopter. So, depending on the group size, we may need to add additional helicopters. There will be extra charges accordingly. We will let you know during booking.

After enjoying the mountain views, you will fly back to Lukla. We land here for 15 minutes to refuel the helicopter and descend to Kathmandu. Our team will drop you off at the hotel.

The rest of the day is free in the city. You can relax and visit nearby tourist sites like Monkey Temple and Bouddha Stupa. Likewise, do some shopping in Thamel and enjoy your last day in Kathmandu.

Namche Bazaar is the biggest Sherpa town on Everest. It is a big, bustling town. Here you can meet with travelers from around the world. The environment here is pleasant and very amusing.

In Namche Bazaar, you will stay at Yeti Mountain Home. It is a fine, luxury lodge overlooking Mt. Thamserku.

You will get private rooms with ensuite bathrooms, hot water facilities, Western-style toilets, and many other amenities that will make your time in Namche Bazaar stress-free.

Hike to Hotel Everest View:

Namache Bazaar to Hotel Everest View distance is approximately 2.7 km. It will take you around two hours to reach Hotel Everest View.

Leaving Namche Bazaar, you will reach a massive mani stone and mani wheels in 20 minutes of hiking. From here, follow the left trail that steeply ascends to Syangboche Airstrip.

The trail then ascends to the Sherpa Resort and continues from here along relatively flat terrain to the Hotel Everest View. Throughout the hike, you will witness stunning views of Mt. Thamserku and Kongde Ri.

Night stay in Hotel Everest View:

Hotel Everest View is one of the highest luxury hotels in the world. Situated 3,962 meters (13,000 ft) above sea level, the hotel is designed flawlessly, balancing Japanese high-end materials and Nepalese heritage.

In 2004, Hotel Everest View was also awarded the Guinness World Records for the highest placed hotel in the world.

There are only 12 rooms in this hotel, and each room offers a view of Mount Everest. The rooms are elegantly designed and have private balconies and en-suite bathrooms.

*We try our best to book a night stay in Hotel Everest View, but in peak seasons, the rooms are pre-booked. So, if you do not book your trip early, we may not get a room at Hotel Everest View. In that case, we will book you a night's stay in Sherpa Panorama Lodge. It is also in Syangboche and offers a 360-degree view of the mountains.

Hike to Khumjung village:

From Hotel Everest View, you will hike to the nearby Khumjung village. You will reach there in less than half an hour of walking.

In Khumjung village, you will visit the Hillary School and the Khumjung Monastery. The Hillary School visit will allow you to meet local students and spend some quality time with them.

Likewise, in Khumjung Monastery, you may get to see the alleged Yeti scalp and other ancient antiques, paintings, etc.

Helicopter flight to Kala Patthar and EBC:

On the fifth day of the luxury Everest helicopter tour with Hotel Everest View overnight stay, you will fly to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar.

Descend to Syangboche Airstrip to take the flight. Our helicopter will pick you up from here and take you close to Mount Everest.

Return to Kathmandu comfortably in a helicopter:

After enjoying the close views of Mt. Everset, you will fly back to Kathmandu. We take a small 15-minute break at Lukla Airport to refuel the helicopter.

Network in the mountains

WiFi will be available in all luxury lodges. The network depends on the weather conditions. Sometimes it is good, sometimes disturbed.

For backup, you can get a Nepali SIM in Kathmandu. The mobile network works decently in Namche Bazaar and around the Hotel Everest View area.

Nepal travel visa

Our luxury Everest helicopter tour with Hotel Everest View stay package does not include a Nepal travel visa. Travelers have to get the visa on their own.

You can either apply for a Nepali travel visa at the Nepalese Embassy or Consulate Office in your country. Alternatively, you can apply for an on-arrival tourist visa upon landing at Kathmandu Airport.

An on-arrival visa is available at all entry points. However, travelers from some countries are not eligible for the on-arrival travel visa. They have to go through the Nepalese Embassy or the Consulate Office.
