1. TOUR PACKAGES
    1. COST INCLUSIONS
      All our packages are inclusive of:
      • Airport Pickup & Drop off
      • Deluxe hotel accommodation in city area, which includes breakfast, Wi-Fi, 24 hours hot water supply.
      • All mountain guest house stays, which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
      • City tour(s) with an English-speaking tour guide.
      • A highly experienced, government-licensed trekking Guide.
      • Porters (1 porter for 2 trekkers)
      • Trekking Permits1
      • TIMS card (Trekkers’ Information Management System)
      • All domestic air transportation, if mentioned in itinerary.
      • All ground transportation will be by Private Car/ Jeep/Luxury Tourist Bus.
      • All government taxes, VAT and other applicable fees.
      • Celebratory dinner on the last night
      • Necessary equipment - first aid kit, duffle bags to put your belongings to be carried by our porters.

    2. EXCLUSIONS AND EXTRA EXPENDITURES
      We would like to highlight that there are items that are not included within our package cost. Kindly budget for these extra expenditures according to the duration of your trek. This includes the below:
      • Lunch & dinner in city areas
      • Rental of equipment such as sleeping bags and winter jackets can be arranged, if required.
      • Nepal entry visa fee (USD40)
      • Visa can be applied upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport (Kathmandu). 2 passport sized photos will be required.
      • Tips for the Driver, Guide and Porters. We suggest a range between USD8 – USD10 per day, any more will be very much appreciated
      • City sightseeing entry fees in Kathmandu valley & Pokhara.
      • Drinking water along the trek. Water is sold at around USD1 – USD3 per bottle by the mountain lodges. You can also choose to buy water tablets at about USD2 in the city to treat water.
      • Wifi (if any), hot showers and charging of batteries may cost extra at some mountain lodges. Wifi is usually between USD3 – USD5, charging batteries around USD1.50/hr and hot water for showers around USD4.
      • Travel insurance (compulsory)2
      • Extra hotel stays and meals in the city that arise due to unforeseeable circumstances, such as flight cancellations/delays, bad weather conditions etc, are not included in the package cost.3
      • International flight tickets
      • Any other activities and/or items not mentioned or stated as optional in the itinerary

      1Trekking Permits
      There are restricted areas in Nepal which issue trekking permits for a limited no. of days. If you opt to stay in the restricted area longer than the permit period, additional charges will be levied for every day thereafter. These additional charges are not included in the cost of the trip.

      2Travel Insurance
      Travel insurance is essential to ensure our trekkers are covered in case of any mishaps, especially if helicopter evacuation is required. Do note that standard policies cover emergency evacuations up to 4000m only, so please ensure that your policy covers you up to 6000m. Your policy information must be submitted to us before we begin trekking.

      3Flight Delays
      If flight delays or cancellations are between Kathmandu and Lukla, we can arrange a chartered helicopter if you are agreeable to the charter hire cost. Bad weather in the mountains may carry on for more than a day. In order to avoid affecting your international flight out of the Nepal, you are strongly advised to buffer a few more days towards the end of your trip.


    3. PAYMENT FOR TOURS

      A deposit of 25% of agreed trek package fees is required before your trip to Nepal. The deposit amount must be paid by credit card online via your account on www.firsthimalayan.com, unless a prior agreement is made for other modes of payment. Credit card payments are subjected to a 3% fee.
      The remaining amount is to be paid in cash (USD/Nepalese Rupees) at our Himalayan Scenery Treks and Expeditions office when you arrive in Kathmandu.

    4. CANCELLATION

      We will try our best to accommodate postponements and reschedule your trip if we are notified at least one month in advance.
      However, if you need to cancel the trip, please understand that cancellation fees will be imposed as the necessary manpower, logistics and accomodations would have been arranged.
      The cancellation fees will be based on the cancellation notification period given:

      • over 30 days before the trip – 100% refund on deposit.*
      • under 30 days before the trip – 50% refund on deposit.*
      • under 15 days before the trip – no refund.


      *exclude bank/transfer charges.


    5. CURRENCY

      All trip costs are displayed in USD. For credit card payments, the exchange rate will be determined by your credit card company. Cash payment in Kathmandu will be based on prevailing exchange rates.


    6. ENTRY INTO NEPAL

      A valid passport must be used for entry into Nepal. Visitors are also required to apply for visa at the airport for their stay in Nepal. Please prepare a passport sized photo for the application.

      • USD 25 for 15 days
      • USD 40 for 30 days
      • USD 100 for 90 days

    7. TOURS PROVISION

      Our tours are provided by Himalayan Scenery Treks & Expeditions (P.) Ltd and all our customers should comply to its rules and regulations (www.himalayanst.com) and the laws of Nepal.

In the unlikely event where official claims and/or disputes arise due to any trekking and/or tour related matters, for example insurance matters, travel agency law matters or company registration matters, Himalayan Scenery Treks & Expedition Pvt Ltd will be the agency in charge and official party to liaise with.



  2. FIRST HIMALAYAN Partners Terms and Conditions

    This section refers to the terms and conditions (T&Cs) that govern the use of our products and services by FIRST HIMALAYAN (FH) Partners. FH Partners refer to all Users who have registered for an account with FH to join our Adventurer, Explorer or Traveller Class Partnership plans. Package refers to all travel packages provided by FH.

    Please read through the T&Cs carefully prior to becoming an FH Partner. By using our products and services as an FH Partner, you indicate that you have read and agree to adhere to the following T&Cs.

    1. Partnership incentives and Points
      1. Partnership and points are non-transferable
      2. Adventurers will earn commission on the sales amount of FH Packages sold, excluding any 3rd party costs. 3rd party costs include air-fares (plane and helicopter fares), and any other costs stated by FH at point of sales. Rate of points earned as laid out under Section 2.2 and 2.3 respectively.
      3. Commission rates as laid out under Section 2.2.
      4. 2.1.4 Adventurers and Explorers will earn points on the sales amount of FH Packages sold. Rate of points earned as laid out under Section 2.2 and 2.3 respectively.
      5. Points are used to redeem for Adventurer Class partnership status.
      6. Points cannot be redeemed back as cash.
      7. To enable recording and redemption of points and all other Partnership incentives, all transactions must be performed and logged on the FH website via your Partner account login.
      8. FH vouchers can only be used for regular priced packages.
    2. Adventurer Class
      1. Partnership fees for Adventurer Class is $6500.
      2. Adventurer Class Partnership is valid for a period of 3-years, starting from the date of joining.
      3. Adventurers will earn a commission on the sales amount (excluding any 3rd party costs) of the Package(s) sold for every trip/transaction, as stated below.
        1. For groups of 3 people or below, 15% of package price after qualifying sales amount
        2. For groups of 4 people or more, 25% of package price after qualifying sales amount
      4. Commission will be paid out to Adventurers at the next calendar month-end after a trip has been completed.
      5. Points will be earned at a rate of USD10 = 1Pt, based on the sales amount of the Package(s) sold for every trip/transaction.
      6. Adventurer who accumulate 2,600 points within 3 years can redeem for Adventurer Class Partnership status for another 3 years free. Any excess points will then be carried forward into the new 3-year period.
      7. Adventurers who did not manage to accumulate 2,600 points within 3 years will have the option to pay $6500 for another 3-year Adventurer Class Partnership. Any existing points will be carried forward into the new 3-year period. There will be a 1-month grace period for Partners to exercise this option, after 3 years is up.
      8. Partnership fees are not refundable nor convertible to points.
    3. Explorer Class
      1. There are no Partnership fees for Explorer Class Partners.
      2. Explorer Class Partnership is valid for a period of 3-years, starting from the date of joining.
      3. Explorers can enjoy a ‘buy 10 packages get 1 free’ deal, provided 10 packages are bought in 1 trip/transaction.
      4. Explorers will earn points at a rate of USD10 = 1Pt, based on the sales amount of the Package(s) sold for every trip/transaction.
      5. Explorers who accumulate 2,600 points within 3 years can redeem for a 3-year Adventurer Class Partnership for free. Any excess points will be carried forward into the new 3-year period.
      6. Explorers who did not manage to accumulate 2,600 pts within 3 years will not be able to carry forward any existing points into the next 3-year period.
      7. Explorers who do not qualify for free upgrade to Adventurer Class after 3 years will have the option to pay $6500 to upgrade to Adventurer. Any existing points will be carried into to a new 3-year period. There will be a 1-month grace period for Partners to exercise this option, after the 3 years is up.
    4. Traveller Class
      1. There are no Partnership fees for Traveller Class Partners.
      2. Travellers can enjoy a "buy 10 packages get 1 free" deal, provided all 10 packages are bought in 1 trip/transaction.
      3. Travellers do not earn points from buying packages from FH.
      4. Travellers can choose to upgrade to become an Explorer/Adventurer by contacting us via our contact form.
    5. General Rules
      1. FH reserve the right to terminate Partnerships at any in point in time, should we find that there had been any misconduct that affects the reputation of our company.
      2. FH reserve the right to terminate Partnerships at any in point in time, should we find that there had been any misrepresentation or any behaviour that leads to a conflict of interest with FH.
      3. Strictly no mark-up of the selling price of FH packages prices by Partners. The transaction price of tour packages as recorded in Partner accounts, shall be the final selling price.
      4. Partner accounts are only allowed to be registered by personal individuals, and not by companies or corporations.
      5. All Partners are to comply to the rules and regulations as stated in Himalayan Scenery Treks & Expeditions Pvt. Ltd. (www.himalayanst.com) and the laws of Nepal.
